STILL LIFE is a series of bespoke unique pieces where Verónica Mar captures real nature in metal sculptures.
These series began with the creation of the Ginkgo collection, which symbolizes in nature the union between Yin Yang, which is what Veronica captures with her sculptures.
The awareness, respect, and care for the chosen nature is the objective of the creation of these series.
THE GINKGO COLLECTION is inspired by the fascinating Ginkgo Biloba tree, one of the oldest trees in the world. In the Chinese culture, the Ginkgo tree symbolizes duality: the masculine and feminine, the sky and earth, what is seen and the unseen, the sun and the moon, the yin and yang. It is considered a sacred tree. The lamp is made of cast brass. Each branches, leaves have been created one by one, by expert artisans in Madrid. They are the same artisans-sculptors who have produced some of the sculptures for Marc Quinn or Anish Kapoor. ROSSANA ORLANDI has introduced the 2017 Ginkgo Collection at the Milan Design Week. This Collection is also in showcase at LES ATELIERS COURBET Gallery in NY and Miami, and at MINT Gallery in London.
